Student Ambassadors
I have been a student ambassador since 2017, and I love being a friendly face that incoming students get to meet when they are touring the University of Mary. I also call prospective students and answer questions, help with admissions events and welcome week, as well as guide incoming freshman during our SOAR event (Student Orientation and Registration).
Faith Formation Teaching
This past year, I had the honor of teaching seven 5th graders at the Parish of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. The first semester I co-taught with a classmate, but second semester I taught by myself. I have a passion for theology and teaching, so it was so much fun to be able to combine several of my interests together.
Emerging Leaders Academy Projects
As a member of the Emerging Leaders Academy, I have been able to be a part of so many great projects. This includes volunteering at the YMCA and nursing homes, as well as raising money and creating baby baskets for expectant mothers in the Bismarck Public School System. I also was the co-leader of the activities committee this past year, so I got to plan events for our class to get together and bond as a team outside of our regular class time.
