Faculty Mentor: Dr. Brenda Tufte
This year, I had the honor of having Dr. Tufte as my faculty mentor. She is currently the Chair of Graduate Education at the University of Mary's Liffrig Family School of Education and Behavioral Sciences. As a former English teacher at Bismarck High School, Dr. Tufte is very helpful with advising pre-service teachers with insight into the profession of teaching. I have enjoyed meeting with her this semester, and I look forward to having class with her in the future.

Professional Mentor: Mrs. Annie McKenzie
Mrs. McKenzie teaches English and Journalism at Bismarck High School and is also an adjunct professor at the University of Mary. I not only had the privilege of having Mrs. McKenzie as my ELA mentor, but she was also my practicum teacher as well as my professor for my English Methods class. I got to be in her classroom for 30 hours, teach lessons to her students, and I also got to attend staff meetings, PLC (Professional Learning Community) meetings, and parent-teacher conferences with her. I am very thankful to gain knowledge about life as an English teacher in the classroom as well as outside of the classroom because of my experiences with Mrs. McKenzie. She is definitely an exemplary teacher to learn from.
